Orlando Ikeokwu, the spokesperson of the state police command, while confirming the incident said, the police inspector in a suicide note said he killed the couple after Oluchi collected N150, 000 from him with the promise that she would marry him, only for him to discover later that she was already married to Cajethan.

He said;

On March 22, 2020, one Alloy Eze of Ozoara, Mgbidi, Oru West LGA, Imo State, reported to the Oru West Divisional Police Headquarters that he returned home only to meet the corpses of three persons behind his house.

(Video)Don't Expect Anything From The Church On COVID-19, You Gave Your Offerings To God, Not Your Pastor - Pastor Amoateng

The president of Brian Jones Outreach Ministries headquartered in London, Pastor Brian Amoateng has lashed out at people expecting relief materials from the church in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic crippling activities in most countries around the world.

Don't Expect Anything From The Church On COVID-19, You Gave Your Offerings To God, Not Your Pastor - Pastor Amoateng

The cleric was reacting to a call for mega churches to provide at least free hand sanitizers for its poor members.

Pastor Amoateng stated that it is not the responsibility of the church to provide relief materials, though Christians give offerings and tithes, it is however given to God and not their Pastor.

However, he added that offerings are given for blessings which are not physical.

Pastor Amoateng said in the Facebook live video;

If we don’t have money to pay rents, where are we going to get money to buy hand sanitizers?

And let me tell you, it’s not the responsibility of the church to but hand sanitizers for you because you give offering. It is not. You give offering to God to receive a blessing. It’s not compulsory that the church has to bring you hand sanitizers.

The bible says that God loves a cheerful giver. It should be out of a cheerful heart. You shouldn’t give to the church and expect favour in return.

You give to God — not your pastor. You give to God to receive a blessing. And a blessing is something that you don’t see. It’s not physical — it’s an invisible force that’s comes upon your life to prosper...so stop thinking that the church has to bring you hand sanitizers.

Speak Up On State Of Presidential Villa - PDP To Buhari

Speak Up On State Of Presidential Villa - PDP To Buhari

Following unconfirmed reports that Abba Kyari had tested positive to Coronavirus, and president Muhammadu Buhari has came out negative.

Speak Up On State Of Presidential Villa - PDP To Buhari

While reacting to the reports ,the main opposition party in the country, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to douse what it called “widespread public anxieties” by immediately addressing the nation on the status of the Presidential villa, in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The party made this known in a statement issued by party’s spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan.

The PDP maintained that though President Buhari “was reported to have tested negative to the virus, it is yet imperative that he douses public tension by addressing a distressed nation on the status of the Villa, especially given that other officials, like Abba Kyari, had travelled to high-risk countries in the course of their duties.”

The statement read in part;

The party notes that an address on the situation in the Presidential villa will further douse public concerns about the status of certain key officials, who have not been visible in the last few days.

The party stressed that Nigerians, no matter how highly placed, should strictly adhere to directives by relevant agencies of government on health safety measures, particularly as they relate to isolation of persons returning from foreign trips.

The PDP urged the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, and other relevant agencies to adopt stringent measures to isolate and monitor persons coming into the country as well as track and equally isolate those who had made contact with infected persons.

In this regard, the NCDC should move into the Presidential villa and immediately track and isolate all those who had made contact with President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, so as to check further spread of COVID-19 in our country.

The party called on Nigerians to remain vigilant and observe all health safety directives, including social distances, self-isolation, personal hygiene and prompt report for medical assistance in the case of any symptoms.

The PDP expressed optimism that with a concerted effort by all Nigerians, our nation will overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
