Xavi Reveals Club That May Win Champions League

Xavi Reveals Club That May Win Champions League

Retired Spanish professional footballer who played as a midfielder, and is currently the manager of Qatar Stars League football club Al Sadd, Xavi Hernandez has tipped Pep Guardiola to win the Champions League with Manchester City this season.

Xavi reveals club that may win Champions League this season, gives reasons

Xavi Reveals Club That May Win Champions League

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola conceded the Premier League title race is over after the reigning champions lost 3-2 at Wolves on Friday.

Xavi said that having lost out on the race to win the Premier League, Guardiola will now set Manchester City’s focus on winning the Champions League.

City trail Liverpool by a whopping 14 points on the Premier League standings, a lead that looks insurmountable due to the Reds’ incredible form.

Xavi believes his former boss will now go out to win the Champions League and will likely prioritise squad selection.

Xavi feels that Guardiola’s team want the Champions League more than they crave for the domestic honours and victory in the competition would elevate Man City as a club

According to him, he said;

Pep is a born winner.

It will hurt him that Manchester City are so far behind Liverpool in the league – and he won’t give up.

He will be realistic though. The gap is a big one and at the moment it doesn’t look likely that they can make it three titles in a row.

With that in mind, I think there’s a big chance Pep will prioritise the Champions League.

They will be two big games coming up against Real Madrid – and maybe there will be a chance to rest players before these games that they wouldn’t have if they were in a title race.

Pep will want to win every trophy that he can – but if you’d asked him at the start of the season what he would prefer, I’m sure he would have said the Champions League.

He joked with Klopp that maybe Manchester City and Liverpool should swap trophies this year – but there was some truth in that joke, I think.

He’s won every trophy in England with Manchester City and he knows that winning the Champions League with them would take them to the next level as a club.

West Ham Appoint David Moyes As Manager

Pellegrini who joined West Ham in May 2018 with the former Manchester City manager was sacked after guiding the club to a 10th-placed finish in his first season in charge.

West Ham has appointed the 55-year-old David Moyes on an 18-month deal and the New manager is expected to take charge of the New Year’s Day home game against Bournemouth at London Stadium.

Reacting to the appointment, David Moyes says;

I'm feeling very proud that I'm back here at West Ham, but more importantly I'll be looking to see what I can do, what I can make improvements to and how we can get some wins with the players.

I do believe that the squad of players I've got here is a better squad of players than when I took over before, so I am looking forward to working with them.

I think there's got to be a short-term goal for us just now to get the wins to get us away from the wrong end of the league and what we're going to do over the next six months, then what we're going to do over the next period as well. The start is really focusing on the immediate games.

Pellegrini joined West Ham in May 2018 with the former Manchester City manager guiding the club to a 10th-placed finish in his first season in charge.

The 66-year old former Real Madrid and Manchester City boss have a run of just two wins in 14 games, including seven defeats in their last nine league matches, which saw his sack from club.

The worst of it, West Ham were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup after losing 4-0 to League One outfit Oxford United in September.

Joint-West Ham chairman David Sullivan confirmed the decision to part ways with Pellegrini on Saturday night, stressing it was important to get the club "back on track".

In a club statement, West Ham joint-chairman David Sullivan said;

It is with great disappointment that we’ve had to make this decision.
Manuel is a gentleman and it has been a real pleasure to work with someone of his calibre.

However, it has become clear that a change is required to get the club back on track in line with our ambitions this season. We felt it was necessary to act now in order to give the new manager as much time as possible to try and achieve that goal.

Under PellegriniWest Ham won 24 of their 64 matches, losing 29 and drawing 11.

The club will face Bournemouth on New Year's Day with the Hammers yet to confirm who will be in charge for that clash.

The couple had three children together but that does not stop Hulk from entering in a relationship with her niece-in-law Camila.

Hulk who is currently playing for Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG, has reportedly been dating the niece of his wife following the end of their marriage.

However, the former Porto man's representatives have spoken out and defiantly defended the relationship.

According to him;

It's in his position to be transparent, to avoid lies and malicious comments.

Remember the Brazilian's marriage ended in July and Camila was also separated for many months.

Camila was reportedly Iran's 'favourite niece' and took to social media to explain herself.

She wrote:

Aunt Iran, I first want to tell you that this message is not an explanation or justification of anything.

I needed to tell you some things that unfortunately circumstances do not allow me to say personally.

Although it is irrelevant to you now, I love you very much and care about you, so I am speaking here.

I really want you to know things that maybe everyone will talk about differently, mere speculation, but I don't really judge them because outsiders know absolutely nothing and most of the time just want the situation to be worse.

It's been very hard to face all this, but I wouldn't do it if it wasn't true.
