Man Rapes Woman For Refusing To Have Sex With Him

A man who called himself a pastor, Sunday Egbo, has confessed to raping a member of his church, who refused to have sexual intercourse with him.

The man made the confession while being paraded by the Enugu State Police Command on Tuesday.

The police said a coffin and multiple female pants were recovered from Egbo’s house, according to Saharareporters.

It was gathered that the victim had gone for prayers, during which the pastor forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

According to the state’s Commissioner of Police, the pastor took the woman to his room, brought out a magic stone and threatened to kill her if she raised the alarm.

He further stated that after the rape, he seized her pant; brazier and brought a small bottle and wanted to insert it into her private part but she struggled and ran out naked.

Egbo said:
“I wanted to have sex with her but she refused. So, I raped her.

“I paid a native doctor N200,000, to get the coffin and flute.

"He told me to do certain things, after which I will get a Ghana-must-go bag full of money in my room.

“But after two weeks, the money did not come as the native doctor told me.

“I believe I was deceived. So, I’m advising other men of God to follow the ways of God. There is no need seeking power and favour in the wrong ways.

“I also advise Nigerians to be mindful of the places they go for prayers.”

Court Jails Two Ex-Bankers For ₦25m Fraud After 10 Years Trial

Chinyere Oti, an ex- manager of the former Diamond Bank Plc, and a former account officer of the same bank, Odigboh Okechukwu have been sentenced to two years imprisonment.

Justice Adama Iyami- Lamikanra of the Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt convicted and sentenced the duo on Monday for defrauding the bank the sum of ₦25,018,467, the spokesman from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Wilson Uwujaren, said in a statement.

FreshReporters News learnt that the convicts were arraigned on November 19, 2009, by the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the EFCC on seven charges bordering on conspiracy and stealing.

The charges were amended on April 25, 2019.

Count four of the charge read,
“Odigboh Okechukwu and Chinyere Oti on or about the  23rd day of October, 2008 at Diamond Bank Plc  Port Harcourt within the Port Harcourt Judicial Division did fraudulently steal the sum of  twenty million four hundred and thirty one thousand three hundred and forty two naira five kobo (N20,431,342.05) property of Diamond Bank Plc by means of Diamond Bank Cheque No. 16216303 through an unfunded account in the name of Achufa Investment Limited operated by Odigboh Okechukwu and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 381 (1) and punishable under Section 390( 9) of the Criminal Code CAP 37  Vol. II Laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.”

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Their pleas led to a 10-year- long trial.

The prosecution called three witnesses and tendered 15 exhibits while the defence called three witnesses.

Delivering her judgment on Monday, Justice Iyayi- Lamikanra found the two defendants guilty of the charges and sentenced them to two years imprisonment each or an option of fine of N1,000,000 each.

She also ordered the convicts to pay a sum of ₦25 million as restitution to Diamond Access Bank Plc.

Trouble came for the two convicts when the former Diamond Bank Plc petitioned the EFCC alleging that its manager at  Rumukwrushi Branch in Port Harcourt, Mrs Chinyere Oti, fraudulently opened a current account for one of its customers and used the account to make fraudulent withdrawals and overdrew it to ₦25,018,467.

Investigations revealed that the alleged customer of the bank never opened an account with the bank, but Okechukwu used the customer’s photograph to open the account without the customer’s knowledge or consent.

It was through the account the two convicts defrauded the bank.

Nasarawa: Igbo Businessman Killed By His Abductors Despite Receiving A Ransom

Osondu Nwachukwu, who was said to be a businessman in Nasarawa State has been reportedly killed by his abductors even after they received a ransom for his release.

In an interview the family of the deceased has called for prevailing government action at the state and federal levels in tackling the security challenges bedevilling the country.

The 55 year-old Nwachukwu resided in Nasarawa for over 30 years and was a sachet water seller who used his apartment for residential purpose and production point.

FreshReporters News gathered that his pastor, Reverend Father Joshua Obile, described him as a peace-loving man whose major concern was to provide for his family.

The clergyman said:

“He doesn’t like trouble with anyone, you hardly see him exchanging words with people.

“He was a lover of peace, even in his house when I come around to visit them, you will always see him up and doing.  He is a man who is committed, diligent, and obedient.”

It was learnt that Nwachukwu was seized from his residence on October 30 by suspected robbers who dispossessed him of cash, valuables, and documents of his house.

After several days in captivity, a ransom of N20 million was demanded and after several pleas, it was reduced to N10 million and further down to N40,000, which was paid.
But alas, he was still killed.

Reports reaching us right now on FreshReporters News is that Ovey Friday, a 13-year-old boy hands were allegedly burnt by an herbalist on the prompting of his stepmother in Nasarawa State, which ended him up in hospital.

According to him, Mercy, whom he lives with in the Wulko community in the Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area of the state, raised the alarm that he made love to her in her dream.

He said, “My stepmother said she was always seeing me making love to her in her dream, but I told her that it was not true.

“So, she started threatening me, saying that I would not stay in the same house with her. That was when she said she would take me to a native doctor’s house.

“The native doctor, who is a Fulani man, picked a stone and threw it at me. After that, he rubbed the stone on me and tied my two hands with a rope.

“Then, he brought charcoals out of the fire and poured it on me and tied my hands, asking me to confess that I was a wizard and a member of a secret society. But I told him that I was innocent of what he was accusing me of.

“He brought out powdered pepper and poured it into the fire while the smoke smeared all over my face, with my hands burning.

“After that, he fetched charcoals from fire (he did this three times), that was when I began to pray to God. When he saw that I was praying, he came back and untied the rope from my hands, but my wrists, palms and fingers were already badly burnt.

“They brought me home and the next day, I woke up to see that both my hands had swollen. It was at that time that they took me to hospital for treatment.”

Ovey, who is fondly called ‘Small Man’ by members of the Wulko community, said, “I have forgiven my tormentors.”

Residents of the community described the teenager as an assuming boy, who is a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church choir and a class captain at the Government Junior Secondary School in the community.

When our correspondent visited the Wulko Police Outpost, the officer in-charge, Danjuma Bujujin, said the police were working to ensure that those behind the crime against the boy were brought to justice.

It was gathered that the case file had been transferred to the Nasarawa-Eggon Divisional Police headquarters for further investigation.

It was learnt that the suspects were initially detained for one night.

Speaking on the issue, the paramount ruler of the area and Sarkin Garin Wulko, Joseph Envuladu, expressed displeasure over the incident, which he said was uncommon in the community.

He stressed the need for the police to diligently investigate the matter and bring all the culprits to book.

Our correspondent was informed that the damage done to the victim had led to the permanent loss of the use of three fingers on one of his hands.

Medical personnel at the hospital, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to speak to the media, expressed fears that if further treatment was not commenced immediately, the hospital might be forced to amputate Ovey’s hands.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Bola Longe, confirmed the incident.

He told our correspondent that investigation into the case was ongoing and promised to ensure that the case would be charged as soon as investigations were completed, adding that the command was determined to ensure that the case served as a deterrent to others.

A teenager has spoken about the sickening sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her dad from the age of just six-years-old.

Shannon Clifton was raped by the man who was supposed to protect her and has had his baby but now she wants to help others see "the light at the end of the tunnel".

Her evil dad Shane Ray Clifton sexually abused and raped her for eight years until she was 14, sometimes up to four times a day, reports Derbyshire Live.

At the age of 13 Shannon, who grew up in Chaddesden, gave birth to his child.

The baby was later adopted but Shannon hopes to have a relationship with him in the future.

The horrific abuse came to an end when Shannon was a pupil at West Park School, in Spondon.

Binman Clifton, 36, was jailed for 15 years but Shannon later found out his sentence had been reduced to 10 years.

She now says she wants to flee Derby before the monster is released from jail.

She is now living an independent life and wants to inspire others through her new book, The Monster I Loved.

Shannon said she went to live with her dad, at the age of five, when her parents split up.

Shannon said:

“It was nice at first but he started getting abusive. I would come home from school and he started to hit me. I just got used to it in the end.

“The first time it happened was when we moved into a flat near Elvaston Castle.

“It started becoming sexual. There was one time in the front room on the floor. I’ve tried to block it out so I don’t remember it all.”

Shannon was a pupil at Breadsall Hill Top School at the time.

She said she used to go to school “with bruises all over” but was instructed to tell teachers she had been play fighting with her cousins.

After a period of time, Shannon and her dad moved back to Chaddesden.

Shannon said:

“That’s when everything started getting worse. It was becoming more regular.

“When I was younger it was just once or twice here and there but then it started becoming every day, then a few times a day.

Shannon said she was often raped before and after school and sometimes in the middle of the night.

She said: “I only understood what sex was when I was about nine and we were learning about it at school.

“I remember the first time we were taught sex education, my teacher told us ‘nobody should touch you in these places’.

“I was shocked because I thought, that’s what my dad does to me.”

Shannon said her dad treated her as his wife. He regularly asked her to clean the house and make his dinner from the age of nine.

When Shannon was 11, she noticed her body starting to change and realised she was pregnant.

She said: “For a while I didn’t tell him. But when I did finally tell him, he beat me up.
“It was all really confusing, I was a child carrying a child.”

She worked out that she was around 28 weeks pregnant when she lost the baby.

In December 2012, Shannon became pregnant again.

She said she wasn’t surprised she lost the baby “because of the things I was going through”.

Shannon said when she was 12 she told a teacher at school and a social worker that her dad had broken her nose.

She said:
“They took me away for one night and then the next day I went straight back to him.
“They didn’t do anything about it, so I thought there’s no point in telling people anything.
“I put myself in more danger by telling them. I was too scared."

Shannon said summer was the worst time because her dad would rape her outside the house.

She said: “He used to take me out and do it in fields and woods.
“At night, if he had been drinking at a family thing, on the way home he would do it in an alleyway.
“I tried to fight back but I used to get hurt more. It was easier not to do anything. I thought it was going to last forever.”
Shannon has written a book about the abuse she suffered

Isis Names New Leader, Vows Revenge Against U.S. For Baghdadi Killing

The Islamic State militant group confirmed on Thursday its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed, the group's news agency Amaq said in an audio tape following a U.S. weekend raid.

The extremist group also confirmed its spokesman Abu al-Hassan al-Muhajir was also dead.

Al-Muhajir, who The New York Times reported would be Baghdadi's most likely successor, was first reported killed on Sunday.

The group had been silent until now and as successor it appointed someone Amaq only identified as Abu Ibrahim al-Hashemi al-Quraishi.

An ISIS spokesman addressed the United States in the tape.

“Beware vengeance (against) their nation and their brethren of infidels and apostates, and carrying out the will of the commander of the faithful in his last audio message, and getting closer to God with the blood of polytheists,” he said.
