We Are Coronavirus Free - Mauritius Officially Declares

An Indian Ocean island nation, Mauritius has declared itself COVID-19 free after recording no case for the past 15 days.

According to the country's ministry of health 322 people had recovered out of the 332 confirmed cases, while 10 people have  died, meaning there are no activie cases.

Though with the lock down still in place, the country marked it's 15th day on May 11, 2020, without any new case in the country.

According to a data from US-based John Hopkins University, Mauritius is now the second Africa country to have declared virus-free status after infection, as of May 12, 2020, Africa’s sole virus-free nation is Mauritius, while Lesotho is the sole African country yet to record a case.
