Strike Continues, As FG Gives Condition To Accommodate ASUU’s Proposal

Federal Government gave conditions to integrate the University Transparency Accountability Solution (UTAS) being proposed by the Union into the government’s Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), as the ongoing two-week warning strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) continues.

Strike Continues, As FG Gives Condition To Accommodate ASUU’s Proposal

This was made known by Dr. Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, on Thursday after a four-hour technical session between both parties. The meeting ended at 7:30pm.

Though the terms and conditions reached during the meeting was not revealed by both the federal government and ASUU.

The two parties are expected to reconvene next Monday or Tuesday after further consultations by both parties.

    It shouldn't be only when lecturers go on strike, that's when they will look for solution

  2. I wonder if the president is aware of all the strikes in the country sef! If he is, and the ministers are doing like this, then the educational future of Nigeria is taking a lugubrious nose-dive!
