5 Days After Installation, Kano Court Declares Ganduje's Appointment Of New Emirs Null And Void

A Kano state high court located at Ungogo has declared the appointment and the installation of four new emirs by the state government as "null and void".

Freshreporters News had reported earlier that a Kano State high court made the declaration on Wednesday, May 15.
The court the ordered a return to status quo pending the hearing of the suit against the appointment of the emirs.

It was further gathered that the state Gov. Abdullah Ganduje had on Friday, May 10, defied the court order and issued appointment letters to the new emirs. It was also gathered that between May 11 and 12, the governor presented the new emirs with their staffs of office.

Ganduje was said to had created four extra emirates with first class emirs in the state on Wednesday(8th of may).
This  action and step was actually targetted towards narrowing-down the relevance of Emir Sanusi.

"One Nasiru Sule Gwarzo has filed a suit challenging the creation as well as the installation of four new emirs in the state. Similarly, on Tuesday, May 14, the state’s kingmakers, who are four in number, had approached the court challenging the governor’s decision, saying Ganduje’s action distorted the history of the emirate" – reports
