See Super Eagles Players Who Are Settled For AFCON Qualifiers

Super Eagles players have started arriving in camp for the last of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations programmed for later in the year, against Seychelles on Friday.
Libya and South Africa are also part of the Nigeria qualifing group.

Among those who landed earlier in the Asaba camp of the Super Eagles are Arsenal player, Alex Iwobi, Odion Ighalo, and Semi Ajayi.

The Super Eagles is also scheduled to make it out with the Pharaoh of Egypt in an international friendly match on tuesday,that will be next week.

According to a statement issued by NFF’s Director of Communications in person of Ademola Olajire - " nine players including forward Ighalo, and midfielders Iwobi and Ajayi were among first group of teammates who arrived the Asaba camp"

Goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi are all in town, as well as home –based professionals Ikouwem Utin, Ndifreke Effiong and Valentine Ozornwafor.

“The bulk of the invited group of twenty-three (23) will come in on Tuesday, with the international friendly against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday next week also in mind,” Olajire said.

The information gotten from the News Agency of Nigeria had it that Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr called up 23 players for the two matches, with Ikouwem Utin, with Effiong added into the list due to Samuel Kalu and Ola Aina injury case.

So the match against Seychelles is just a kind of formality, with the Super Eagles having assuredly qualified for the tournament which is scheduled to take place from June to July this year.
