Man Jailed In Lagos For Killing Brother During Arguement Over A Woman

Collins Abakwe, 28, was sentenced by a Court of law in Ikeja to 10years imprisonment over an offense of stabbing his brother to death.

It happened in Lagos that Collins Abakwe killed his younger brother, Chibuike Abakwe, when they were engaged in an argument over a woman.

Collins and his younger brother were both arguing over a friend's girlfriend who was intending to pass a night in their home.

The argument broke out to be more intense, these led to the stabbing of Abakwe with a broken bottle.

According to Mrs O. A. Olugasa, the lead state prosecutor, said the convict should be properly admitted to a rehabilitation home, and counselled properly after serving his jail term.

The offence is contrary to sections 221 and 227 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2011.
